Curriculum
Learners will be provided with a personalized curriculum focusing on individual needs. Lessons will focus on vocal development, stage presence, how to use proper breath support, sing with ease and clarity and increase vocal range. Various genres of repertoire will be explored.
The Teacher
Carina Venter
Carina Venter has her Bachelor of Education FET majoring in Art, Music and Psychology and her Honours Degree in Education, majoring in Art and Psychology. Her passion is to teach and see learners grow whether it be in the classroom or while singing. Her passion for music started at a young age.
She sang in various choirs for 14 years and participated in International Choir competitions and festivals. Carina was also part of Serenade (an acapella singing group) at The University of Pretoria for 4 years where she was also part of the management team. Carina is also the conductor for the senior choir of the Preparatory School (Grade 4 – 7). She explores various genres with her vocalists and choir. Her focus is to create a passion for singing with the learners.
Zion Zuke
Zion Zuke delivers unforgettable, soulful performances, captivating her audience with her sincere voice. With a background in opera and various notable appearances, including sharing the stage with renowned artists like Vusi Mahlasela and Freshlyground, Zion's talent shines brightly.
From her debut at Durban Girls’ High School choir to her recent performances at prestigious venues like the Paul Cluver stage, Zion's dynamic presence leaves a lasting impression on all who hear her.

Mareli Roodt
Discover the joy of music with Mareli, your experienced teacher on this extraordinary adventure. With 19 years of teaching experience and a passion ignited at age 5, Mareli specializes in classical techniques while exploring diverse musical genres. In Grade 2 her love for piano started, later the violin and voice joined and since then she has been involved in building and establishing music and choirs in schools and has worked with students from the age of 2 – 60 years of age.
Her heart is to establish a love for music, composition and for worship in her students as she is also a passionate worship leader at her church. She has an honours degree in Music as well as a Teachers Licentiate from UNISA and has been teaching for the last 19 years. Dear musicians, I cannot wait to meet you and to walk this journey with you to develop your skill, introduce you to different genres and to see how your musical journey unfold as you grow into the musician that God has created you to be.
Adéle Visser
Adéle specializes in teaching both classical and contemporary piano, along with modern vocal techniques. She works with a diverse group of students, including children as young as 7, teenagers, young adults, and adults at various skill levels. Adéle’s varied experiences in different settings and cultures in South Africa have prepared her to understand the needs of both parents and students as they pursue their musical dreams, fostering a positive and trusting community. She offers both online lessons through MADA, and in-person lessons at her studio in Helderkruin, Roodepoort.
Adéle teaches both piano and vocal performance, and a syllabus offered from internationally accredited sources like the Trinity Guildhall of London, Rock School, and the ABRSM. Students can aim to achieve music grades or strive for personal skills development. Her teaching style emphasizes authentic interpretation, and encouraging students to sing and play with genuine emotion in various genres. She believes that with the right mix of time, discipline, passion, and commitment, students can achieve impressive results. Her warm and supportive teaching methods creates a safe yet focused environment, helping students develop skills in interpretation, descipline, and concentration. Her unique approach from a well-equipped skillset instructs and guides her piano and keyboard students towards the goal of developing band members, vocalists, worship team members, or singer-songwriters. Since music is a performing art, she encourages her students to build confidence while embracing and celebrating public performance as an exciting goal to serve the community.
